The company was founded in Denver Colorado in 1973 by Dave and Gail Liniger. The RE/MAX hot air balloon was originally pursued to increase brand name awareness. Today RE/MAX boasts the largest corporate Hot Air Balloon fleet in the world at over 100 strong.

In 2013, RE/MAX celebrated forty years “Above the Crowd”. We are in 177 countries around the globe and nine territories, and on 6 of the world's seven continents. Thirty-six languages are spoken by RE/MAX associates. There are 5,889 RE/MAX offices. All RE/MAX listings automatically appear on global.remax.com.

RE/MAX Quinte Ltd. Brokerage head office is located at 106 North Front St. in Belleville, just south of the Quinte Mall. Our sales force is 92 strong. We have 8 offices throughout the Quinte area, located in Belleville, Brighton, Madoc, Marmora, Picton, Trenton, Tweed and Wellington.
